Ed Hardy is an American Tattoo artist who was raised in Southern California; he is well known in the tattoo world, and was a pupil of Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, who was a notorious tattoo artist in the early 1900’s. In 1973 Ed Hardy studied tattooing in Japan with the Japanese classical tattoo master, Horihide, Ed Hardy then became recognized for incorporating artistic Japanese tattoo and technique into his American style work.
