Chooka
rain boots were introduced to the world in 2003 as
a fashionable line of sheepskin boots. One new addition
to the Chooka shoes collection is the rubber rain
boot, which was launched in 2006.
Now, the full story of Chooka shoes goes back more than
100 years. It all started in 1891 with the Washington
Shoe Company in downtown Seattle, Washington. Mr.
Moehring, Chooka's owner's great grand father, started
the successful journey into the shoe world. Washington
Shoe Company started designing working boots for the
miners, fishermen and workers in Alaska and the northwest
area of the United States. Throughout the years, great
quality and style has been the benchmark for the working
boots designed and sold by the Washington Shoe Company.
Chooka shoes, a division of the Washington Shoe Company,
was started by Rob Moehring in 2003 with a line of
sheepskin boots. Three years later, the rain boot was
unveiled, and it was a tremendous hit. Rob Moehring
not only bought the company from his father, but his
wife and two sons add to the success of Chooka rain boots.
Chooka is a small company with a big vision: providing
a rainboot that is fun and quite fuctional paired
with high quality materials, attention to detail and
an incredible sense of fashion. Rob's inspiration
and "passion for fashion" (his favorite quote) was
to create a kids' rainboot that would be appealing,
with bright colors and charming characters.
Chooka
rain boots are in a class by themselves. Offered
in a dazzling array of colors and patterns, this style of
knee-high boot has transformed rainwear from necessity
to fashion accessory. The patterns range from clean
and classic nautical prints and striped to edgy skull
and tattoo graphics. Whatever your fashion passion,
there's a Chooka rain boot that will perfectly fit
your style.
